Oxon Hill Racetrax Fan’s Horses Gallop to $62,576 Win

A new home is on the horizon for Oxon Hill’s “Ms. Twin Big Win” who claimed a $62, 576 Racetrax prize.

Superfecta Box bet brings luck to ‘Ms. Twin Big Win’

Yet another big Racetrax winner has stepped into the Maryland Lottery Winner’s Circle. A 62-year-old fan of the virtual horseracing game won $62,576 with a Superfecta Box wager on horses 9, 10, 11 and 12.

Lottery luck was waiting at an Oxon Hill retailer last week when the anonymous player nicknamed “Ms. Twin Big Win” came through the doors. “Something said to me to go play the races,” said the Prince George’s County resident. “I went with my intuition and played.”

“Ms. Twin Big Win” and her granddaughter headed to Royal Farms #278 located at 100 Monument Street in Oxon Hill and played her favorite game for 20 races. Rather than stick around to see the races play through, she decided to do a little shopping. The lucky lady checked her ticket later in the day by scanning it using the Lottery app. The Oxon Hill resident was floored when she saw the $62,576 win!

“I turned to my granddaughter and said, ‘I finally caught it,’” said the retired federal government employee, smiling.

The Racetrax fan said she immediately signed the back of her ticket and hid it in a safe place. She claimed the prize late last week. “Ms. Twin Big Win” shared with Lottery officials that she plans to use some of the prize for a down payment on a house and help family members as needed.

The Prince George’s County Lottery retailer that sold the ticket, Royal Farms #278, also shares in the lucky win. For selling a winning Racetrax ticket with a value of $10,000 or more, the store earns a bonus of $625.76 from the Lottery. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
