Racetrax Superfecta Quick Pick Gives Capitol Heights Man a $49,592 Win

A longtime Racetrax player from Capitol Heights recently switched from picking his own horses to using the Quick Pick function, and the result on Jan. 7 was a $49,592 Superfecta win on a $1 bet.

“I like the excitement of watching the horses run,” he said Jan. 12 when he claimed the prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

For his win, far and away his biggest ever, his numbers were 6, 8, 11, and 4 and with a $1 bet for five races for a total ticket cost of $5.

“It came in on the last race,” he said.

A short session of a few races is pretty much the winner’s standard way of playing. If he doesn’t win, he goes about his day. If he wins a little bit, he may use the winnings to play again.

With the extra money, the winner plans to buy a vehicle.

He got his lucky ticket and watched the animated horses round the track at the BP gas station at 5818 Martin Luther King Jr. Highway in Seat Pleasant. The business receives a bonus of $495.92, equal to 1% of the prize total.
