Retired Baltimore Bus Driver Takes Home $50,000 Pick 5 Top Prize

A retired Baltimore bus driver is no longer on the road transporting patrons. Now he’s on the road to riches thanks to a top-prize winning Pick 5 ticket worth $50,000.

The lucky Baltimorean bought one Pick 5 ticket for both the June 7 midday and evening drawings at the Save More gas station located at 4200 Wabash Ave in Baltimore. Unlike his days of driving a bus where his numbered routes were already chosen, he had no preconceived number selections for his Pick 5 ticket. He placed a $1 straight bet on a random set of numbers and now he has a $50,000 prize to celebrate.

He knew he was a winner later that day when he checked his ticket on the Maryland Lottery app. He was quite happy with his $50,000 discovery, especially considering that his biggest Lottery prize until now was $5,000.

So far, the retired driver doesn’t have any plans for his win.

Save More gas station will receive a $500 bonus for being the retailer that sold a winning Pick 5 ticket for $50,000.
