Retired Salesman in Disbelief After Scoring a $50,000 Powerball Prize

A retired salesman from Carroll County plays either Powerball or Mega Millions once a week. He’s won small prizes in the past, but he was very much in disbelief after learning that his quick-pick Powerball ticket was a $50,000 winner.

The Finksburg man made a stop at the Shell gas station at 30 Main Street in Reisterstown where he spent $4 for two quick picks. On the first line of the ticket, he matched numbers 5, 18, 26, 59 and the Powerball. He was at home when checked his ticket and realized he had a $50,000 winner.

The retiree told family of the great news. He says that he’s going to use his winnings to settle his finances. The Carroll County man enjoys spending his free time playing golf.
