The story of his $50,000 Lottery win begins with Ronis Ventura Blanco and his family traveling to the beach in Ocean City. The Hyattsville resident wanted to try his luck with a scratch-off. And with that purchase of a single $10 Gold X50 scratch-off, Ronis is celebrating a $50,000 win.
Before reaching the beach, Ronis stopped at US Foods #4 located at 8117 Ocean Gateway in Easton. He seldom plays Lottery games so he selected the first random scratch-off he saw, which happened to be the Gold X50 game.
The Prince George’s County resident learned of his lucky win that same day. He and his family were shocked and happy about their discovery. When asked of his plans for the prize, Ronis told Lottery officials that he will take a family trip back to his native home in El Salvador.
The lucky player works at a tire shop. When he’s not working or playing Lottery games, the 56-year-old enjoys swimming at the beach.
Ronis found the last of the Gold X50 game’s $50,000 prizes. However, there are still six $10,000 prizes remaining and others ranging from $10 to $1,000.
