Salisbury woman claims top prize on Gold X50 scratch-off
“Go hard or go home,” said a lucky Salisbury woman with an affinity for scratch-offs. She nearly walked away from a big win after finding a few non-winners, but couldn’t deny her lucky feeling. The Wicomico County resident made a screeching U-turn back into the store and came out with a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
The 43-year-old visited Country Farm in Salisbury. She realized after she arrived that she hadn’t played Lottery games in a few days. In addition, she had been feeling really lucky just a few days prior to her outing.
Having a few extra dollars to spare, the scratch-off fan tried her Lottery luck. After buying a few non-winning instant tickets, she still couldn’t shake the lucky feeling. The player left the store but then decided to “go hard” and spend another $10 to buy a Gold X50 scratch-off. That last-minute decision made her $100,000 richer.
The happy player called her family and friends, freaking out in excitement about her win. She plans to buy a new house and a car with her prize.
Her lucky retailer, Country Farm located at 821 Priscilla Street will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for its role in selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
Plenty of big prizes remain in the Gold X50 game, which went on sale in January. Players can look for six more $100,000 top prizes, eight $50,000 prizes and 25 $10,000 prizes. The Gold Multiplier Second-Chance Promotion is also under way, offering four more drawings of $50,000 prizes.
