Our latest Maryland Lottery winner to come through the Winners’ Circle told officials there’s no rhyme or reason to the scratch-offs he selects when he plays. His random hunch just led him to a $30,000 top-prize on a $3 Bonus Crossword 7th Edition ticket.
The assistant restaurant manager bought his ticket at a Sunoco gas station. Gassing up the vehicle was his primary agenda, but while there, he decided to grab a scratch-off.
Later that day, the soccer enthusiast he returned home and scratched his ticket. He matched 10 words for the corresponding $30,000 prize.
“This is crazy,” he said to himself after realizing his ticket was top-prize winner. He is very excited about his win and plans to pay off student loans. When he’s not working or playing the Lottery, he can be found somewhere on a field playing soccer.
