Motorcycle enthusiast takes home Lots of Cash game’s top prize
An anonymous Maryland Lottery winner, who goes by the childhood nickname “Snookie,” recently claimed a $50,000 top prize from the Lots of Cash scratch-off game.
On Aug. 18, while running errands with his mother, Snookie decided to pick up some scratch-offs at the Royal Farms store located at 2692 Tobin Crossing in Bel Air. While he was still in the store, he scratched one of the tickets, and when he scanned it, he saw the instruction to “See Lottery.” Snookie said he wasn’t quite sure what that message meant, so he asked the store clerk to scan the ticket and was thrilled to learn he had landed one of the its top prizes of $50,000.
“I was so happy,” he shared. “My mom said I went pale and was smiling ear to ear. This win couldn’t come at a better time. I recently lost my grandfather. This win has lifted my spirits.”
When asked about his plans for the prize money, Snookie said he intends to pay bills and purchase a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The winning ticket also brought good fortune to the retailer. The Harford County Royal Farms store will receive a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning scratch-off.
Lots of Cash debuted in mid-June with eight $50,000 top prizes. Five of those top prizes remain unclaimed, along with 11 $5,000 second-tier prizes and thousands of additional prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.
