A Bonus Match 5 player in Germantown who missed playing one day a few years back and ended up not having a ticket when his numbers hit decided to be more vigilant. On Oct. 30, he had another match and, more importantly, the winning ticket.
He has a series of several Bonus Match 5 combinations he likes that are derived from dates and other figures relating to family members, he said Nov. 10 when he claimed his $50,000 top prize.
The winning numbers from Oct. 30 were not the same ones that hit a few years ago when he didn’t buy a ticket, but he plans to continue playing both combinations, even now that he’s won a top prize.
He enjoys playing and is pleased to report he also won another $400 playing Bonus Match 5 earlier this year.
A 2028 trip to Italy with his wife has been in the planning stages lately and the winnings will make that process go more smoothly. In the meantime, however, the money will go into an interest-bearing account.
The winner was pleased to hear that the place where he buys his tickets, Kingsview Beer and Wine at 13406 Kingsview Village Avenue in Germantown, will be receiving a $500 bonus for selling the top-tier winner.
