Three Maryland Retailers Sell $50,000-Winning Powerball Tickets

Players buy lucky tickets in Baltimore, Hanover, Rockville as jackpot keeps rolling

After giving one Marylander a $50,000 prize in the Monday, Jan. 30 drawing, Powerball delivered two more $50,000 prizes to Maryland players who added the Double Play option to their tickets. Congratulations to all three winners and the 22,565 other players in our state who won prizes of $4 to $100 on Monday night.

No one hit the jackpot, which has rolled to an estimated annuity value of $653 million for the Wednesday, Feb. 1 drawing with an estimated cash option of $350.5 million. The winning tickets were sold by:

  • $50,000 — Courthouse Exxon, 700 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Montgomery County (Powerball drawing)
  • $50,007 — Live! Casino & Hotel, 7002 Arundel Mills, Hanover, Anne Arundel County (Double Play drawing)
  • $50,000 — ShopRite of Howard Park, 4601 Liberty Heights Avenue in Baltimore City (Double Play drawing)

The winning numbers in the Powerball drawing were 1, 4, 12, 36 and 49; the Power Ball was 5 and the Power Play multiplier was 2.

The winning numbers in the Powerball Double Play drawing were 3, 25, 28, 42 and 61; the Power Ball was 17.

Double Play is a second drawing that takes place about 30 minutes after the Powerball drawing. Players can add Double Play to their tickets for an additional $1. Adding the Double Play option makes the ticket eligible to win prizes in both the Powerball drawing and the Double Play drawing. Double Play has a top prize of $10 million.

Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Instructions on claiming prizes in person or by mail are available HERE. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. So far in 2023, Maryland has now had seven $50,000 third-tier Powerball winners and two third-tier Double Play winners.
