Workplace Frustration Leads Woman to Lottery Bliss

Glen Burnie resident claims $50,000 FAST PLAY Lucky Numbers prize

A Glen Burnie woman wasn’t having the best day at work when Lottery luck came her way. Work duties were becoming stressful and she needed a scratch-off break.

However, when the Anne Arundel County resident arrived at Chesapeake Liquors located at 6120-C Governor Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie she opted for a FAST PLAY Lucky Numbers ticket instead of a scratch-off. She now has $50,000 worth of Lottery compensation for her work woes!

The 54-year-old is very familiar with FAST PLAY games because she won a $10,000 FAST PLAY prize in the past. After checking her Lucky Numbers ticket and finding her $50,000 prize, the winner said she couldn’t believe her eyes. “I was in total shock,” she said.

The happy player kept news of her win a secret with the exception of a few close family members. A state of Maryland employee for 35 years, the winner said she hasn’t yet made any plans for her prize.

The $10 Lucky Numbers game went on sale in 2020 with 40 progressive jackpot prizes, which start at $100,000. The progressive jackpot grows with each ticket sold in the game until a player buys a progressive jackpot-winning ticket. There are still 22 progressive jackpot prizes remaining along with 30 unclaimed $50,000 prizes and 42 $10,000 prizes.
