$50,000 Bonus Match 5 Ticket Sold in Riverdale

Second winner of 2024 sold by Prince George’s County convenience store

Check your Bonus Match 5 tickets if you purchased them in Riverdale for the Jan. 9 drawing, which created a $50,000 top-prize winner.

Super Convenience Store, at 6010 66th Avenue in Prince George’s County, sold the lucky ticket. The winning numbers for the Jan. 9 drawing were 5, 11, 18, 26 and 29; the Bonus Ball was 28. Lottery officials urge the winner to sign the back of the ticket and put it in a safe place. The player has 182 days to claim the prize.

Instructions on claiming prizes in person or by mail are available HERE. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. The Lottery’s Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only (no walk-ins). Click HERE to schedule an appointment.

The Riverdale retailer is also enjoying this win. The Lottery will give the store a bonus of $500 for selling a top-prize winning ticket in the game.

This is our second top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket sold in 2024. The first winner of the year was a Lanham woman who purchased a ticket in Greenbelt.

Drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from 1 to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win a prize.
