A Dorchester County man was able to turn a few small scratch-off wins into one big six-digit prize. Instead of leaving with $60 in winnings, he used a third of it to buy two $10 Rose Gold scratch-off tickets, one of which gave him a $100,000 top prize.
He purchased his tickets at Corner Market at 2600 Cambridge Beltway in Cambridge. Shortly after purchase he began scratching his tickets and confirmed the $100,000 prize by matching a 41 in the play area to a 41 in his numbers list.
The winner cried tears of joy after his discovery. He then called a few family members to share the news. A window washer by trade, he plans to use his winnings to payoff his cars and cover a few home repairs.
Corner Market receives a $1,000 bonus as the retailer that sold a winning scratch-off worth $100,000.
The Rose Gold ticket was launched in June beginning with eight $100,000 top prizes. There are now six remaining, along with many smaller prizes.
