Someone in Western Maryland is starting today with a smile after winning a $50,000 top prize from last night’s Bonus Match 5 drawing.
The ticket was purchased at the Sheetz at 401 E. Main Street in Frostburg. For selling the top-tier winning ticket, the Allegany County retailer picks up a $500 bonus.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Nov. 3, drawing are: 2, 11, 15, 17 and 29. The Bonus Ball number is 26. The winner matched the first five numbers to win the top-tier prize.
Bonus Match 5 drawings are held seven evenings a week. Tickets are available for as little as $1 for a single play, with discounts available for purchasing multiple plays on a single ticket slip. Each play is made by selecting five numbers from a range of 1 to 39. Five winning numbers are drawn, and then a Bonus Ball number is drawn from the remaining 34 numbers. Players who match the first five numbers drawn win the game’s $50,000 top prize. There are prizes ranging from $2 to $600 for having at least two of the winning numbers and the Bonus Ball, or having at least three of the winning numbers.
Instructions for claiming prizes are available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website. Prizes of more than $25,000 must be claimed through Lottery headquarters, either in person or by mail. Lottery headquarters is in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, in Baltimore. An appointment is required to claim in person (no walk-ins). The appointment scheduling page shows all available appointment times.
