Jackpot rolls to $189 million for Friday’s drawing
Here are a million reasons to smile, Mega Millions players! If you bought a ticket at 7-Eleven #11716 in Adelphi for the Tuesday, Nov. 8 drawing, you may be Maryland’s newest millionaire. Three winning tickets in Maryland, Georgia and New York matched the first five numbers in the drawing to capture $1 million second-tier prizes, and an Illinois player who added Megaplier to the ticket quadrupled the prize to $4 million.
No one won the Mega Millions jackpot, which rolled to an estimated annuity value of $189 million for the Friday Nov. 11 drawing with a cash option of $91 million.
Maryland’s $1 million winning Mega Millions ticket was sold at 7-Eleven #11716 located at 8151 Riggs Road in Prince George’s County. The winning numbers to match were 5, 13, 29, 38 and 59; the Mega Ball number was 23 and the optional Megaplier number was 4. Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket immediately and put it in a safe location. Winners get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes.
This is Maryland’s fourth $1 million winning Mega Millions ticket sold in 2022. The lucky retailer will receive a $2,500 bonus from the Lottery for selling the ticket.
Nationally, 999,764 million tickets were winners. Maryland saw 29,058 tickets win prizes ranging from the $1 million second-tier win down to $2. The 3,927 players in Maryland who paid the extra $1 to add Megaplier to their tickets for the drawing saw their prizes quadruple.
