A Vietnam veteran and longtime Lottery player from Baltimore scored a $57,777 payday thanks to a top-prize win on the $5 Lucky 7s Tripler scratch-off.
“I was shocked. I had to go to one of the machines. I didn’t believe it,” he said June 11 when he claimed the prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
The winner is a Lottery regular, whose favorite game is Keno, though he also enjoys Pick 4 and scratch-offs.
“I’ve been playing for years,” he said, noting he has no plans to stop after his big win. With his prize money, he anticipates helping people in his “church family,” and catching up on some bills.
Lucky 7s Tripler has been available since May of 2025 and went on sale with eight top prizes at the $57,777 level. The Baltimore player’s win reduces the number of unclaimed top prizes to four.
Mall Spirits at 6630 Reisterstown Road in the Reisterstown Road Plaza Shopping Center in Baltimore sold the winning ticket and receives a bonus of $577.77.
