A Baltimore City woman didn’t have to travel far to strike it rich, thanks to the Maryland Lottery. The 42-year-old traveled from her Dundalk neighborhood to Canton, where she found a $50,000 winning 24 Karat Gold scratch-off waiting at the Canton BP.
The lucky player found the first top-prize win in the game, which went on sale April 19. She scratched off the $5 instant ticket only to discover a gold bar symbol with the $50,000 prize underneath. This scratch-off has 15 chances to win and is packed with prizes, including seven more $50,000 top prizes and 13 $5,000 prizes,
Canton BP, located at 4700 O’Donnell Street in Baltimore, also wins. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling a $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
