A player on the Eastern Shore just became a millionaire this morning when a Maryland Lottery FAST PLAY ticket worth $1,452,675 was sold at a store in Chester on Kent Island.
The player bought a ticket for the $20 progressive jackpot game 20X Cash on Oct. 15 at Bakers Liquors at 1500 Postal Road in the Queen Anne’s County community. The retailer receives a $1,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
The FAST PLAY 20X Cash game started in September 2025 with 20 progressive jackpot prizes, and this morning’s win is the first time the progressive jackpot has been hit. The jackpot resets to $300,000 and grows a little each time a non-jackpot winner is sold.
The Lottery urges winners to sign the backs of winning tickets and keep them safe. For FAST PLAY games, winners have 182 days from the purchase date to claim their prizes.
Instructions for claiming prizes are available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website. Prizes of more than $25,000 must be claimed through Lottery headquarters, either in person or by mail. Lottery headquarters is in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, in Baltimore. An appointment is required to claim in person (no walk-ins). The FAST PLAY Platinum Payout game started on April 6 and has 10 progressive jackpots remaining after this win. Each time the jackpot is hit, it resets to $75,000 and grows with every ticket sold.
