Fallston Woman Claims $50,000 Lottery Prize on a Let’s Make a Deal® Game

Patricia Dowdy, of Fallston, turned a $25 win into a $50,000 prize thanks to a Let’s Make a Deal® scratch-off. She is accompanied by her husband, Jim.

Patricia Dowdy, a Maryland Lottery scratch-off enthusiast from Fallston, pulled in a $50,000 prize thanks to a Let’s Make a Deal® scratch-off.

Immediately before the big win, Patricia won $25 on a Lucky 7s scratch-off. After sitting on that ticket for a few days she decided to cash it in, but instead keeping the $25, she opted for five Let’s Make a Deal® tickets. She knew immediately that she had a winning ticket, but initially thought it was only a $50 winner. But then she realized that she had overlooked three extra zeroes. Once she saw that it was a $50,000 winner, she just kept starring at the ticket.

Patricia bought the hot ticket at the Wawa at 1419 South Mountain Road in Joppa, which receives a $500 bonus for the store’s role in the win. The game went on sale in April and this makes the fifth of its original seven $50,000 top prizes to be claimed.
