Family Trio Buys Three Pick 5 Tickets, Wins $150,000

Hampstead father, two adult children each win big in Oct. 13 drawing

A Carroll County family that plays Pick 5 together won $150,000 together, too, using the same numbers in the same drawing on three separate tickets.

The 61-year-old father, who lives in Hampstead, bought a $1 straight bet ticket with the numbers 53834 for the Oct. 13 evening drawing. His 28-year-old daughter, also a Hampstead resident, and 31-year-old son, who lives in Towson, followed his example.

They found Lottery luck awaiting their arrival at Hampstead Liquors located at 721 Hanover Pike in Hampstead. Because the store sold not one but three $50,000 winning tickets to the players, it earns a total bonus of $1,500 from the Lottery.

Before leaving the Lottery’s Winner’s Circle, one player reported plans to buy a new home with the winnings while the other two planned to invest their $50,000 individual prizes.

This is a great month to play Pick 5. A Hall-O-Win second-chance promotion runs through Nov. 1 and gives Pick 3/4/5 players a chance to win $10,000. Each $1 worth of tickets equals one second-chance drawing entry. Players enter winning or nonwinning tickets into the promotion through their My Lottery Rewards account. A drawing on Nov. 2 will award five lucky players prizes of $10,000 each! Grab your tickets today!
