A Maryland Lottery player in Columbia got a pleasant surprise on the evening of July 24: a $32,694 progressive jackpot win on the FAST PLAY game SLINGO® at the Wegmans grocery store.
The Howard County retailer at 8855 McGaw Road in Columbia has reason to be happy as well because the store receives a $326.94 bonus for selling that ticket.
This is the sixth of nine progressive jackpot winners on the game. SLINGO® went on sale Feb. 6, 2023 and has a progressive jackpot starting at $14,000, and it grows with the sale of each ticket until a progressive jackpot-winning ticket is sold. As of 8 a.m. today (July 25) the progressive jackpot was at $14,030. The game has additional prizes ranging from $3 to $1,000.
Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket immediately and put it in a safe location. The player has 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.

Lottery headquarters is in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, in Baltimore. An appointment is required to claim the prize in person (no walk-ins).
