Frederick County Woman Claims $100,000 Top Prize on Bingo X10 Scratch-Off

A Frederick County woman made a store run after work for water and chewing gum and ended up with an extra $100,000.

After making her target purchases, she had an extra $10 and decided to buy a scratch-off. The first ticket that caught her attention was Bingo X10. She purchased one and scratched it for the big win, claiming her prize May 21 at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

The ticket was purchased at the Weis Market at 1201 Dutchman’s Creek Drive in Brunswick. Being short on time, she decided to scan the prize check instead of scratching the whole ticket.

When the machine flashed “see lottery,” she knew it was a winner but she thought it was for a much smaller amount, in the $1,000 range. After taking a closer look at her ticket, however, she realized she had a $100,000 top-prize winner.

Excited about her discovery, she called and shared the news with her husband, who was equally excited. This win comes on the heels of another Lottery win of $500 just a few weeks ago for the player. The winner says she plans to use her winnings to pay bills. She works in food service and enjoys spending time with family and at her church.

Weis Market receives a $1,000 bonus as the retailer that sold a top-prize-winning scratch-off of $100,000.

Bingo X10 was launched in March. This win is the first of six $100,000 top prizes to be claimed leaving five remaining as well as many smaller prizes.
