A pair of FAST PLAY tickets delivered last week’s two biggest Maryland Lottery wins, with a $176,777 progressive jackpot in Willards and another progressive jackpot of $114,257 in Accokeek.
FAST PLAY tickets are games that play like scratch-offs, but are printed on-demand by Lottery terminals and vending machines. Select FAST PLAY games have progressive jackpots that increase with the sale of each ticket until a jackpot-winning ticket is sold. The $10 Platinum Payout ticket sold May 24 in Willards (Wicomico County) has a jackpot that starts at $75,000, while the $10 High Roller Blackjack ticket sold May 22 in Accokeek (Prince George’s County) has a starting jackpot of $100,000. Both prizes are unclaimed as of May 26.
Last week also saw $100,000 scratch-off wins in Brunswick, Silver Spring and Waldorf, while a Salisbury resident spun The Big Spin Wheel and won a $90,000 prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
During the week of May 18-24, 36 Maryland Lottery players statewide won prizes of $10,000 or more, and the Lottery paid a total of nearly $29.2 million in prizes across all games.
Winners are encouraged to sign the backs of tickets and keep winning tickets in a safe location. Tickets for draw games expire 182 days after the drawing date. FAST PLAY tickets expire 182 days after purchase. The last dates to claim for scratch-off tickets are posted on the scratch-offs page at mdlottery.com.
Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem tickets at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes up to $25,000 can be claimed at the cashier window of any of the six casinos in Maryland. Prizes up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets worth up to and including $600. More information is available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website.
