Harford County Man Claims Hefty Keno Prize

Keno fan Kyle McCauley of Joppa quadrupled his prize to $30,048.

Wins $30,048 prize on a 7-spot bet with Bonus multiplier

Lottery fan Kyle McCauley of Joppa is a weekend warrior whose favorite game is Keno. He just had his most productive Lottery Sunday yet, having won a $30,048 prize.

The 33-year-old enjoys playing Keno with a family member at Horseshoe Pub located at 12627 Belair Road in Kingsville. Kyle may occasionally play Racetrax, but he’s put most of his stock in Keno bets. He told Lottery officials that he’s been using the same Keno numbers for 15 years and they finally paid off. He placed a 7-spot bet for 10 drawings on 4, 7, 27, 43, 48, 52 and 68, adding the Bonus multiplier feature. He won in the fourth drawing and the x4 Bonus multiplier quadrupled his prize.

“The whole bar knew that I had won a big prize,” Kyle said, recalling his excitement. He then called his aunt to share the great news and she “freaked out,” he added.

The Harford County resident is an auto mechanic by trade and in his spare time. He plans to use his winnings to finish refurbishing an old truck.

His lucky Lottery retailer, Horseshoe Pub, will receive a $300.48 bonus from the Lottery for its role in selling the winning Keno ticket. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
