Claims $50,000 prize on Extreme Green instant ticket
A lucky Prince George’s County man went out for groceries and came home with an extreme surprise. The 34-year-old added a scratch-off to his list of things to buy and the Extreme Green game contained a $50,000 top prize.
The lucky winner bought his $5 instant ticket at Langley Shop located at 8001 New Hampshire Avenue in Hyattsville. He scratched his instant ticket immediately and managed to keep his cool while in the store. The Hyattsville resident told Lottery officials that he doesn’t have any plans yet for his winnings.
His lucky retailer will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for its role in selling a $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off. The Extreme Green instant ticket went on sale in July 2022 with eight top prizes. There are still two awaiting discovery along with more than 400,000 others ranging from $5 to $5,000.
