Lottery Player in North Bethesda Wins $1,000 a Week For Life in Cash4Life

Check those Cash4Life tickets because a Maryland Lottery player bought a ticket in Montgomery County that’s worth $1,000 a week for life.

The second-tier-winning ticket in the Jan. 27 Cash4Life drawing was sold at Meridian Market and Wine at 5230 Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda. The winning numbers for the drawing on Jan. 27 were: 15, 26, 32, 44, 59 with a Cash Ball of 1. The winner bought the ticket on Jan. 26.

The Maryland Lottery encourages all winners to sign the backs of their tickets. Winning tickets must be redeemed within 182 days of the winning drawing date. Tickets for prizes of more than $25,000 must be claimed by appointment at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

The winner has the choice between $1,000 a week for life, paid in annual installments of $52,000; or a one-time payment of $1 million. Both amounts are before taxes.

Available in Maryland since January 28, 2016, Cash4Life is a $2 daily game played in 10 states. The game’s top prize is $1,000 a day for life; or a one-time payment of $7 million. Cash4Life also has seven other prize tiers ranging from $2 to $2,500.

Cash4Life will be retired after the Feb. 21 drawing. It is being merged with a similar game, Lucky for Life, to form a new game with a new ticket price and prize structure. The Maryland Lottery will not be participating in the new game.
