Howard County man wins $50,000 prize on Gold Bar Bingo instant ticket
A Howard County resident just raised the bar on his Lottery play when a Gold Bar Bingo 4th Edition scratch-off gave him a $50,000 top-prize win.
The 59-year-old found his winning scratch-off at the Soda Pop Shop in Glen Burnie. He works for a material handling service and dropped in to buy an instant ticket while between deliveries.
He didn’t have any one particular scratch-off in mind to play. Instead, he walked up to the Lottery vending machine, played $5 and made a random selection. Now, he’s celebrating his first Lottery win. “I was just blown away, I’ve never won before,” he said.
The lucky player plans to put his Lottery windfall toward bills.
The Soda Pop Shop located at 337 Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie wins, too. The owners will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling a $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off. The Gold Bar Bingo 4th Edition game went on sale in July 2023 and has three more $50,000 top prizes remaining along with six $10,000 prizes and others ranging from $5 to $5,000.
