Powerball and Double Play Drawings to Live Stream on Lottery Website

Players can watch live results on mdlottery.com starting Oct. 25

There is exciting news for Powerball fans who will have the opportunity to see if they won the big jackpot live, as every Powerball and Double Play drawing will be live streamed at mdlottery.com starting Wednesday, Oct. 25.

The drawings, which are conducted in Tallahassee, Fla., can be viewed every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night on the Watch The Drawings page. A 10-minute countdown clock will appear prior to the start of each drawing.

Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. The jackpot continues to grow until a lucky player matches all five of the white ball numbers and the red Power Ball. The game also features eight additional prize levels ranging from $4 to $1 million.

Most recently, the Powerball jackpot reached $1.765 billion before a winning ticket in California landed the top prize on Oct. 11. It was the second-largest jackpot in Powerball history, trailing only the $2.04 billion prize won on Nov. 7, 2022. So far in 2023, the Maryland Lottery has sold five Powerball second-tier winning tickets worth $1 million each, and 65 third-tier winners ranging from $50,000 and $150,000. Our last jackpot winner was in January 2021 — a $731.1 million prize won on a ticket sold in Lonaconing.

Double Play is an additional drawing also held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays that will stream within 30 minutes of the Powerball drawing between 11:25 p.m. and 11:29 p.m. Players can add Double Play to their tickets for an additional $1. Adding the Double Play option allows players to receive one set of numbers for both the Powerball drawing and the Double Play draw. Double Play has nine prize levels ranging from $7 to $10 million. Maryland has had 10 third-tier Double Play winners of $50,000 during 2023.
