Baltimore woman claims $146,425 prize on FAST PLAY Wild Bonus X10 game
Jan. 14 was a tough morning for a Baltimore woman who had spent the night tending to her ill husband. But hours later, that rough start was forgotten after she bought a $146,425 jackpot-winning ticket in the FAST PLAY Wild Bonus X10 game.
The anonymous winner bought her lucky $10 ticket at Wise Carroll Mart located at 220 Wise Avenue in Dundalk. She visits the store weekly to buy gas and Lottery tickets. The lucky lady had $20 to spare that day for her Lottery fun and had planned to buy several scratch-offs. After not seeing any that she liked, the player opted instead for a few FAST PLAY tickets.
One of those tickets was the $10 Wild Bonus X10 game, which has a progressive jackpot that starts at $100,000 and grows with the sale of each ticket until a progressive jackpot winning ticket is sold. The game now has 27 progressive jackpots remaining along with 17 $50,000 prizes and 90 $10,000 prizes.
After looking over her Wild Bonus X10 ticket and checking it for a win using the Maryland Lottery app, the startled player saw the message “See Lottery.” She was not convinced she had won, even though she had matched the winning number 32 on the ticket and saw “Progressive Jackpot” listed as the prize.
The dubious winner scanned her ticket using the store’s ticket checker and that’s when she knew she hit the game’s progressive jackpot of $146,425. Her initial reaction? “Shocked,” she told Lottery officials.
The semi-retired city resident immediately shared the great news with her husband and brother-in-law. She plans to use her prize to pay bills and boost her savings account.
Her lucky Lottery retailer, Wise Carroll Mart, will collect a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a progressive jackpot-winning FAST PLAY ticket of $100,000 or more.
