Claims top prize win on Monopoly X50 scratch-off
New to scratch-off games, a lucky Eastern Shore resident’s first time playing the MONOPOLY™ X50 instant ticket earned her the prize of a lifetime. The lucky Salisbury woman visited a select set of stores before coming across her $100,000 winning scratch-off.
The 36-year-old visited Royal Farms #073 located at 1401 South Division Street in Salisbury. “Is this real life?” the shocked player recalls saying to herself after realizing she won a fortune. The Wicomico County resident has shared the great news with a few close friends.
The happy woman, a business owner who just sold her share in a company, plans to use her winnings to buy a new truck, make investments and put a down payment on a house.
Her lucky retailer, Royal Farms #073, will receive a $1,000 bonus for its role in selling a top-prize winning scratch-off worth $100,000.
The $10 MONOPOLY X50 scratch-off game launched on Jan. 17, 2022, as part of the MONOPOLY Second-Chance Promotion from the Maryland Lottery. The following scratch-offs joined the $10 ticket: $1 MONOPOLY X5, $2 MONOPOLY X10 and $5 MONOPOLY X20. In addition, two FAST PLAY games were introduced: $3 MONOPOLY Game Tokens and $20 MONOPOLY Properties.
Players can enter any non-winning MONOPOLY scratch-off and winning or non-winning FAST PLAY MONOPOLY tickets into My Lottery Rewards for a chance to win cash prizes. Six drawings will take place, with each drawing awarding one “Rolling Cash Jackpot” and ten $2,500 prizes. A “Rolling Cash Jackpot” is a prize that starts at $2,500 at the beginning of each promotion period, and incrementally increases until that drawing. The final drawing is July 11.
