Thankful Winner Keeps Calm as He Leaves Store a Big Winner

Glen Burnie man claims $50,000 prize on Money Bag Multiplier scratch-off

A loyal player since the Maryland Lottery got its start 50 years ago just won a hefty prize on a $10 scratch-off. The Glen Burnie man has won $10,000 a few times over the years but is easily the most thankful about his $50,000 prize on a Money Bag Multiplier scratch-off.

The 68-year-old found his lucky instant ticket at Aquahart Exxon gas station located at 720 Aquahart Road in Glen Burnie. He purchased the game and began scratching it off in the store. The Anne Arundel County resident saw that his game had a pair of matching numbers and then revealed a prize of $50,000. Only then did it sink in that he won the $50,000 second-tier prize in the game!

“I was so thankful, I just calmly walked out of the store,” the happy winner said.

A retired car detailer, the winner still works part time. He plans to use his windfall for home improvements and to continue to support his wife of 39 years.

The Money Bag Multiplier game is still packed with prizes. Players can try to win five $100,000 top prizes, six more $50,000 prizes and 19 $10,000 prizes.
