The Week in Winners: Western Maryland Resident’s $2 Million Prize is Lottery’s Top Win of the Week

Players across the state won nearly $30.5 million during week ending June 4

Western Maryland has a new millionaire, thanks to a $2 million win on a scratch-off ticket sold in Hagerstown. Meanwhile, another four players won prizes of $100,000 or more in Baltimore, Leonardtown, Randallstown and Westminster in the past week.

In all, 42 tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or redeemed in the seven days ending June 4 and the Lottery paid nearly $30.5 million in prizes in that span.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations.
