Virginia, Maryland Winners Claim Separate Prizes in Two Games

Pick 5, scratch-off prizes total $125,000

Two lucky players left Maryland Lottery headquarters as happy winners this week. A Maryland woman claimed a $100,000 top prize on a MONOPOLY X50 scratch-off and a Virginia man claimed a $25,000 Pick 5 prize.

The 23-year-old Lanham woman claimed the top prize on a MONOPOLY X50 instant ticket purchased at 7-Eleven #11574 located at 9111 Annapolis Road in Lanham Seabrook. Her Prince George’s County retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for its role in selling a top-prize winning $100,000 scratch-off.

The Fairfax, Va. man bought his winning Pick 5 quick-pick ticket in the March 17 evening drawing at Luxe Liquors located at 13462 Baltimore Avenue in Laurel. The Pick 5 game began Feb. 7. The lucky winner won his $25,000 prize on a 50-cent straight bet on numbers 7, 6, 8, 4 and 4. Luxe Liquors will receive a $250 bonus from the Lottery for its role in selling a $25,000 winning ticket.

The $10 MONOPOLY X50 scratch-off game launched on Jan. 17, 2022, as part of the MONOPOLY Second-Chance Promotion from the Maryland Lottery. The following scratch-offs joined the $10 ticket: $1 MONOPOLY X5, $2 MONOPOLY X10 and $5 MONOPOLY X20. In addition, two FAST PLAY games were introduced: $3 MONOPOLY Game Tokens and $20 MONOPOLY Properties.
