A Washington D.C. woman enjoys playing Maryland Lottery games, particularly Pick 5 and Bonus Match 5. She typically uses her winnings from draw game tickets to buy scratch-offs. This time, however, there was no need to buy a scratch-off as she won a $50,000 Bonus Match 5 top prize.
The capital city resident bought her ticket at State Line Market at 7817 Eastern Ave in Silver Spring. She bought nine boards for $6 for the May 18 and 19 drawings. On Monday, May 19, she checked her ticket on the Lottery’s website and was very happy to see she matched all five numbers.
So far, she has only shared the news with her husband of almost 30 years. They’ll likely use some of her winnings toward a cruise.
The winner has worked for the D.C. government for the past seven years. When she’s not working or playing the Lottery, she enjoys doing crossword puzzles.
State Line Market will receive a $500 bonus for being the retailer that sold a winning Bonus Match 5 ticket worth $50,000.
