$100,000-Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Columbia

Player added Power Play to lucky ticket in Monday drawing

While no one in Maryland won the $699.8 million Powerball jackpot in Monday night’s drawing, one lucky ticket purchased at a Columbia 7-Eleven is worth $100,000. Adding Power Play to the ticket doubled the third-tier prize.

Maryland had 48,121 winners of prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000 in the drawing. The jackpot, won with a ticket sold in California, ranked as the fifth-largest in the Powerball history and the seventh-largest in U.S. lottery history.

Check your tickets for the winning numbers: 12, 22, 54, 66 and 69; the Powerball was 15 and the Power Play multiplier x2. The Howard County store that sold the $100,000-winning ticket is 7-Eleven #11704 located at 5740 Columbia Road in Columbia.

Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Instructions on claiming prizes in person or by mail are available HERE. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore.
