Accokeek Woman Wins $99,751 Progressive Jackpot on FAST PLAY Game

After oversleeping and missing a Sunday service, an Accokeek woman felt a bit of guilt. She found redemption, however, at a BJ’s Wholesale Market in the form of a winning Lottery ticket worth $99,751.

Running errands on July 19 landed her at the BJ’s at 1000 St. Nicholas Drive in Waldorf. As she does whenever she gets paid, she allocates a few dollars for Lottery play. While inside the store, she bought a few scratch-tickets and two FAST PLAY tickets.

“Is this real?” the lady remembered thinking to herself after looking at her ticket and instantly discovering her progressive jackpot win on the FAST PLAY Cash Combination game. She told her winning story Aug. 4 when she claimed the prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

Once she scanned her ticket and saw the “see Lottery” message, she was convinced that she had a winning ticket. After she finished shopping for groceries, she called her boyfriend and shared the great news with him. It didn’t believe her until she showed him the ticket.

The Accokeek woman has been a federal government employee for 36 years. Plans for her winnings include paying bills, saving, car repairs, helping family and a vacation.

BJ’s will receive a $997 bonus as the retailer that sold a progressive jackpot winning ticket for $99,751.
