A Baltimore City woman didn’t believe her eyes when she scratched off a 30X Cash Lottery ticket and saw she was a $30,000 winner.
“I scratched it off and I looked at it. I couldn’t believe I won. I had never won this much money,” she said Oct. 13 after claiming her prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
When she scratched off the ticket, she saw that she had a winning number of 32 with a $30,000 prize. She immediately put the ticket in a safe place.
“I had to look to make sure the numbers didn’t change,” she joked.
The avid scratch-off player added she has the tradition of using half a pencil to scratch off her tickets. She loves to take vacations and plans to use her prize money to take a cruise.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Speedy Mart at 7501 Harford Road in Baltimore. For selling the winner, the retailer will receive a $300 bonus.
The 30X Cash game, a $30 ticket, launched Sept. 18 with 320 top prizes of $30,000. This is the fifth top prize winner to be claimed, leaving 315 at the $30,000 level.
