Lanham man claims top prize on $100,000 Ca$h instant ticket
A lucky Prince George’s County player is no stranger to playing and winning Lottery games. He recently won $5,000 on a Florida Lottery game and last week took home a much bigger prize from the Maryland Lottery. He won $100,000, thanks to a $30 $100,000 Ca$h instant ticket.
The 29-year-old construction worker found his lucky top-prize winning scratch-off at Whitfield Sunoco, located at 9105 Annapolis Road in Lanham.
His instant ticket revealed a “win” symbol and the corresponding prize was a whopping $100,000. “Happy” and “excited” are the words the Lanham resident used to describe his feelings about his Lottery luck. After realizing how much he won, the player called his brother to share the great news. He plans to use his winnings to buy a home.
Whitfield Sunoco also has reason to celebrate. As the Lottery retailer responsible for selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off, the business will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.
The $100,000 Ca$h instant ticket went on sale in September 2023. It began with 65 $100,000 top prizes. There are still 55 top prizes remaining along with others ranging from $30 to $5,000.
