A Maryland Lottery Bonus Match 5 player in Germantown is the latest person to win a top tier $50,000 prize on the game, having matched all five numbers in the Oct. 30 drawing.
The ticket was sold the day of the drawing at Kingsview Beer and Wine at 3406 Kingsview Village Avenue in the Montgomery County town. The ticket matches the first five numbers drawn, which are: 11, 17, 20, 26, 30. The Bonus Ball for the Oct. 30 drawing is 15, but it only comes into play for lower-tier wins.
Lottery officials urge all winners to sign the backs of their tickets and put them in a safe place. Players have 182 days (six months) from the date of the drawing to claim prizes. Instructions for claiming prizes are available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website.
Prizes of more than $25,000 must be claimed through Lottery headquarters, either in person or by mail. Lottery headquarters is in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Boulevard., Suite 330, in Baltimore. An appointment is required to claim in person (no walk-ins). The appointment scheduling page shows all available appointment times.
For selling the $50,000 winner, the Montgomery County retailer receives a $500 bonus, equal to 1% of the prize total.
The Oct. 30 drawing marks the 39th time in 2025 a winning Bonus Match 5 ticket has been sold. Other than the drawing from Oct. 30, two of this year’s Bonus Match 5 top-tier winners remain unclaimed. One of those was sold July 12 at Wheaton Services at 225 North Eutaw Street in Baltimore and the other on Sept. 9 at the 7-Eleven convenience store at 4199 Kenilworth Avenue in Bladensburg.
Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from one to 39. Five numbers are drawn, then the Bonus Ball is drawn from the remaining 34 numbers. The Bonus Ball provides extra chances to win lower tier prizes. To win the $50,000 prize, the ticket must match the first five balls drawn.
