The results of the June 9 Powerball drawing have not yet been finalized due to a technical issue. Players are advised to hold on to their tickets until the issue has been resolved. Winning tickets will be paid at that time.
Powerball is sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and in order for the drawings to be finalized and payouts of winning tickets to begin, all states and jurisdictions that sell Powerball tickets must finalize their results. While the Maryland Lottery has completed this process for tickets that were sold in Maryland, another state has not been able to do so. Until the issue is resolved, players will not be able to check or cash tickets from the June 9 drawing.
Efforts to resolve the issue are ongoing, and it will be corrected as soon as possible.
