Middle River Multistate Trucker Hauls in $100,000 Winning Scratch-off

A scratch-off fan who plays wherever he drives, trucker Scott Green of Middle River found his biggest prize of $100,000 waiting in his home state.

Claims top prize on $100,000 Lucky game at Lottery headquarters

Sometimes you have to go home to win big.

Trucker Scott Green of Middle River drives all over the country, playing scratch-offs in multiple states with varying levels of success. “I won $4,000 in Missouri and another $5,000 in Kentucky. I have gambled all over the country,” he said.

None of those prizes, however, were even close to the big win that awaited the Baltimore County resident in his home state. Scott bought a $30 $100,000 Lucky scratch-off at the Oliver Beach Inn in Baltimore, scratched it off and couldn’t believe his eyes. He asked a worker at the bar to check over his instant ticket and she confirmed his $100,000 prize.

“My blood pressure must have shot up when I realized I won,” Scott said. “She started hugging me and then I knew I was a winner.”

The 55-year-old plans to use the $100,000 top prize to pay bills and will share some of the winnings with his mom.

Also sharing in the fun is Oliver Beach Inn on 12948 Eastern Avenue. The Baltimore County business receives a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.

The $100,000 Lucky game started in September 2021 and 38 top-prize winning instant tickets remain. There are also 25 $5,000 second-tier winners unclaimed.
