She is fourth progressive jackpot winner on $10 Grand Progressive game
Brenda of Severna Park was all smiles as she visited Lottery Headquarters on April 18 to claim a $134,985 progressive jackpot on the FAST PLAY Grand Progressive game.
Brenda said that when she purchased the ticket on April 13 and first looked at it, she didn’t think she had a winner. She wanted to scan the ticket’s QR code using the retailer’s ticket checker to know for sure. When she did, the message went blank and then she received the friendly message of “Go to Lottery.”
“I was stunned,” she recalled with a laugh. “It was real dramatic with the screen going blank.”
The Anne Arundel County resident said she knew at that point she had won but wasn’t sure of the amount. She went back over the ticket to see what she missed and spotted that she had the number 25 in the “Winning Numbers” section of her ticket. That matched the number 25 with a progressive jackpot symbol on the second row of the “Your Numbers” section. Then the receptionist discovered the progressive jackpot was listed at $134,985.
“It was exciting. I can’t believe it,” Brenda said, adding that she will use her prize to put money toward her retirement savings.
She purchased the winning-ticket at 7-Eleven, located at 162 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. For selling the winning FAST PLAY ticket, the store will receive a bonus of $1,000.
The $10 Grand Progressive game launched on April 1, 2024 with 28 progressive jackpot prizes and this is our fourth progressive jackpot winner, as Brenda joins winners from La Plata, Odenton, and Pennsylvania resident, who bought his jackpot-winning ticket in Laurel.
There are still 24 progressive jackpot prizes remaining in the game. After each progressive jackpot is won, the top prize resets to a base of $100,000 and increases with the sale of each ticket. All six of the game’s second-tier prizes of $50,000 are still waiting to be won as of April 18 along with 45 third-tier prizes of $10,000. The game also has thousands of additional prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.
