The Week in Winners: Multi-Match Ticket Worth $540,000 Sold in Eldersburg; Players Win Big Across State

Prizes total nearly $31.1 million, with 30 tickets worth $10,000 or more

A Maryland Lottery Multi-Match ticket sold in Eldersburg that won a jackpot worth more than half a million dollars was the biggest prize of the past week. But two other players from Gaithersburg and Randallstown claimed $100,000 scratch-off prizes and another seven players won $50,000 each.

The Multi-Match jackpot was won in the Aug. 1 drawing, and the winner has 182 days from the drawing date to claim the prize.

Across Maryland, the Lottery paid nearly $31.1 million in prizes during the seven-day period ending Aug. 4, including 30 tickets worth $10,000 or more that were sold or redeemed during that span.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to and including $600. More information is available on the How To Claim page of mdlottery.com.
