$50,000-Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Washington County

If you bought a Powerball ticket in the Monday, May 9 drawing at a Western Maryland Sheetz store, you could be our new $50,000 winner! Somebody bought the lucky ticket from Sheetz #209 located at 20723 National Highway in Boonsboro.

The winning numbers to match on the Washington County ticket were 18, 30, 35, 52 and 56; the Powerball was 5 and the Power Play multiplier was x2.

No one hit the jackpot in the drawing, which had 6,970 winners of prizes of $4 to $50,000. The jackpot has rolled to $68 million for the Wednesday, May 11 drawing. The cash option is $39 million. This is our 29th winning third-tier Powerball ticket sold in 2022.

Lottery officials encourage winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. The Lottery’s Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only (no walk-ins). Click HERE to schedule an appointment. Winners can also drop off a winning ticket along with a completed claim form and copies of their photo ID and proof of Social Security/Tax ID number in the Lottery drop box in the Montgomery Park Business Center lobby.
