Green is the Winning Color for Baltimore Fashion Consultant

Novice Keno player from Windsor Mill wins $60,000g

Working with fashion and color trends is part of the job for a new Maryland Lottery Keno winner. The Windsor Mill woman now knows that her winning color is green — and lots of it. The lucky fashionista just won $60,000 on a 6-spot Keno wager with a Bonus multiplier.

The Baltimore County resident, who is working as a retail clerk in an area clothing store, told Lottery officials she is a Keno novice. The 29-year-old has soaked up tips from other players while continuing to figure out her strategy for the game. A fellow player recently suggested she try a 6-spot wager and she did just that, purchasing a quick-pick ticket for one drawing on the way to work.

“I had forgotten about the ticket until I took a break part way through my shift,” said the player.

She began matching numbers from her ticket with those from the results using a Lottery mobile app. As the numbers matched one by one, it was clear that she had a winner. Her $40 purchase became a $60,000 payout.

The lucky player told Lottery officials the randomly selected numbers from her winning ticket are now her regular lucky numbers. “I played Keno with them again last week and managed to win a $300 prize,” she said.

The winner plans to spend her $60,000 windfall on her family and herself.

Her Lottery luck came from Gani’s Wine & Spirits located at 601 North Carey Street in Baltimore City. For selling a $60,000 winning Keno ticket, the store will earn a $600 retailer bonus.
