Lottery Millionaire in Glen Burnie Making Few Lifestyle Changes

Found lucky $1 million prize on $5,000 Loaded game

A retired player from Glen Burnie and her husband are Maryland’s newest Lottery millionaires after claiming the $1 million top prize on the $5,000 Loaded scratch-off.

“I’m just looking at it as more than I have now,” the 60-year-old player said of the windfall. Already comfortable in her retirement, the anonymous winner works part time mainly to keep busy while her husband continues working full time. She envisions no changes in her lifestyle, despite the big win on the $20 instant ticket.

“It’ll make things that much easier,” she said, explaining that the extra money will allow her to do “some of the little things I like to do.”

The two have no immediate plans for celebrating, but she has a birthday coming in the next few weeks and the two may take a leisurely daytrip. In the future, a few more lengthy vacation excursions may be on the agenda.

Meanwhile, she will continue playing Lottery games because it’s something she enjoys doing. Four more $1 million top prizes remain in the $5,000 Loaded game, which went on sale in May 2021. Also available are five unclaimed $50,000 prizes and 36 $10,000 prizes.

Sharing in the Anne Arundel County resident’s good fortune is Royal Farms #045 at 308 South Camp Meade Road in Linthicum. The Anne Arundel County store scores a $1,000 bonus, equal to 1 percent of the prize, for selling a $1 million top-prize winning scratch-off.
