Cambridge man scores touchdown with grand prize
The Maryland Lottery’s ever-popular Ravens second-chance promotion generated more than 3.7 million entries, including more than 1 million entries submitted for the coveted “Seats for 20 Years” prize. Six finalists were randomly selected from six separate drawings, each winning $10,000. And, the grand-prize winner was Eric Hall of Cambridge.
The 44-year-old winner is a big Ravens fan and was thrilled to hear the great news. The prize includes two club-level tickets and parking to every Baltimore Ravens preseason and regular season home game for the next 20 years.
The other five finalists were: Karen Buckmaster of Baltimore; Pablo Hernandez of Glen Burnie; Karen Hinton of Gambrills; Steven Mitchell of Dundalk; and Dawn Oxford of New Carrollton.
2020 marked the 12th consecutive year that the Maryland Lottery and Baltimore Ravens have collaborated to offer Ravens-themed scratch-off tickets and second-chance prizes. The promotion ran from July 20, 2020 through January 18, 2021. Players entered non-winning $2 and $5 Ravens scratch-off tickets for the chance to win a variety of prizes, including the “Seats for 20 Years” prize, a 2021 away trip with the team, cash and game-day packages.
Past winners of the “Seats for 20 Years” prize include Kim Feather from Pasadena; Dawn Brink from Stevensville; Vanessa Williams from Rosedale; Beth Bunch from Baltimore; Vernon Miller, Jr. from Bel Air; Tuesday Johnson from Germantown; Brenda Grier from Glen Burnie; Ariadna Bila from Gaithersburg; David Williams from Clinton; Umang Patel from Crofton; and Lolita Little-Staten from Baltimore.
There are still three top-prizes remaining on both scratch-offs. The $5 Ravens ticket a top prize of $100,000 and the $2 scratch-off has $20,000 top prize.
