Hagerstown Man Gets Heavy Pockets after Lucky “Fat Wallet” Win

Claims $50,000 top prize on $5 scratch-off

A lucky Western Maryland resident who visited a Hagerstown retailer for his usual dose of Lottery fun came out with a $50,000 top-prize win on a Fat Wallet scratch-off.

The 90-year-old plays Lottery games often. On the day he found his winning scratch-off, the Hagerstown man visited Peach Town Liberty located at 21322 Leitersburg Pike. The “your numbers” section of his $5 instant ticket matched number “25” of the “winning numbers” section for the corresponding $50,000 prize.

The Hagerstown resident told Lottery officials that while he doesn’t get excited about much at his age, he does appreciate his lucky win. At the moment, he’s only shared the news with his son and is still thinking about his plans for the windfall.

Peach Town Liberty, his lucky Washington County retailer, will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for its role in selling a top prize-winning scratch off of $50,000. The Fat Wallet game went on sale in March with eight top prizes and this big win leaves players five more top prizes to discover.
