Anne Arundel County Man Celebrates Birthday, Lottery Prize

Lucky player wins $50,000 on Plu$ the Money scratch-off

A 52-year-old Severn man had reason to celebrate all through the second half of March. First, his birthday took place and, two weeks later, the Anne Arundel County resident was in Baltimore claiming a $50,000 top prize on a Plu$ the Money scratch-off.

The winner found Lottery luck waiting at 7-Eleven #23705 located at 1527 Forest Drive in Annapolis. He purchased the $5 game and scratched his way to one of the eight $50,000 top prizes offered when the instant ticket went on sale in December 2020. The Plu$ the Money scratch-off currently has four $50,000 top prizes remaining. In addition, there are seven $5,000 prizes still available in the game along with about 535,000 other prizes ranging from $5 to $1,000.

The Lottery retailer that sold the lucky ticket wins, too. The Anne Arundel County convenience store will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling a $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
