On April 14, a Baltimore woman claimed the biggest of her four big Lottery prizes in the past four years. After winning $2,500 and $5,000 prizes on Pick 4 and then a $10,000 prize on a 50X the Cash scratch-off, she’s stopped by Lottery headquarters April 14 with a winning Break the Bank scratch-off worth $50,000.
The ticket was purchased at the Exxon station at 6701 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. She stopped at the Lottery vending machine and purchased four of the $5 Break the Bank tickets. The winner nearly gave up when she noticed the tickets’ sequence numbers were not in the range she considers lucky. The four-time winner generally likes her tickets to have number close to 12. She remained persistent and decided to buy one more ticket, even though it was number 17. But it was ticket number 17 that turned out to be a $50,000 top prize winner.
She scratched her ticket while still in the store and matched number 21 of the ticket for the corresponding $50,000 prize. Although very much in shock and excited, she kept quiet and left the store. She doesn’t plan on telling anyone except her brother.
The Baltimore resident has worked in the medical field for 23 years. She plans to use her winnings to pay bills, help family and save.
Glen Burnie Exxon will receive a $500 bonus as the retailer that sold a winning scratch-off worth $50,000.
Break the Bank launched in August 2025 and a single $50,000 top prize remains unclaimed after the Baltimore woman’s win.
